I just wanted you to know that Harry (gray cat) is going good. He loves getting a bath from his new friend Katie."

It has been six months since I adopted Duke, the friendly 2 year old puggle.  I love this dog so much!  He has been a real god send!  He has adapted extremely well to his new home and is doing very well.  He loves his ferret friend, Dodger.  They will play hide and seek underneath the sofa!  Duke loves Dodger very much!  He always wants to play with him!  He loves going on car rides!  He is very well behaved in the car.  I was recently able to take him with me down to see family over Thanksgiving.  He did very well!  They enjoyed having him visit along with me.  I just love coming home after a long day to see his happy wiggly tail greeting me at the door!  He also gets to play with his little buddy Chico, my best friends pug.  He has stepped in to the guard dog role as well.  He is very good at it too!!  I was a little apprehensive about adopting a shelter dog when I decided to start looking for a dog.  Once I met Duke, I instantly changed my mind!  He has been a real joy to have and I would definately adopt a shelter dog over getting a new puppy any day!!  Shelter dogs make the best dogs!!!

Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to adopt such a wonderful dog!

Heys guys and gals, we just wanted to say thank you for giving us the opportunity to adopt smokey, AKA dillon.  He has been with us about a week now, and you will be glad to know that he is doing fine, potty trained, and all....he only had 1 accident in the house.  He goes to the vet this coming friday for his rabies and we will be scheduling his surgery then as well.  He loves the kids, and he does not run off....he likes to play and he tries to sleep with us, but he snores really loud so he has to sleep on the floor.  He has a bunch of toys, but none seem to interest him except real kid toys.  His first night here he did knock the trash over, lol...but he hasnt done it since...I am attaching a few pics, and again, thank you, he is in good hands and a warm happy home.

Merry Christmas and woof woof

Your friends
Mary, Shawn, Nick, Cam and Myers and of course smokey.

Dear ANNA Shelter:
Frisky, formerly known as Candy Man, is doing great.  He got neutered two days after I adopted him.  He loves to cuddle up to me in bed and loves having the whole house to run through.  He is a perfect little man.  I am very lucky to have him. He is such a sweet little guy.  He already has a couple of toys that he just loves.  He just loves to be wherever I am.  I couldn't ask for a nicer little guy.  I can't believe how good he is in the car too.  He went to sleep on his way home when I got him.
Kathy M.

Frisky (aka Candy Man) was one of our Critical Cats meaning he had been at the shelter a very long time (9 months to be exact!!!) waiting for his forever home to find him!!!  Thanks, Kathy :)

I have attached some pictures for you and will keep you updated as time goes on.
As you can see they are as happy as we are.  Thanks for everything.

I had to put my Pug, Joey to sleep. He had lost his ability to walk, and he could no longer control his bladder or bowels.  I was crushed, when I had him put down. I cried for day’s, my heart ached for my beloved Joey. I asked God, and my friends to keep an eye out for another Pug for me. I wanted one like Joey. A fawn colored male dog, and I did not want a puppy. (Housebreaking is a full time job)  I had heard about the A.N.N.A. Shelter, and even though I did not see a Pug on the web site, I thought I would go visit you’re shelter to give you my contact information in the rare event a Pug ever showed up at the shelter needing a good home. When I walked in the shelter I was greeted by a friendly voice asking me if I needed help. I began to explain that my beloved Joey was gone, and I desperately wanted another Pug.I began to weep (again) over the loss of my dog, when I noticed that everyone in the lobby got very quite and looked at me as if they could not wait to tell me something. The woman explained that a Pug was just delivered to the shelter, and that she had not even had time to fix a kennel for him. She asked me if I would like to go meet Meeko. When I was guided to Meeko’s cage our eye’s met, and I knew right then, that Meeko was a gift from God. Meeko could never replace Joey, but he sure has helped fill a void.  Thank You A.N.N.A. Shelter for helping mend a broken heart. Here are a couple of pictures of Meeko with his new toy, and his close up début! One happy mom, Abby B. Conley

Hi folks,
We had a safe and pleasant trip home, Griz was a jewel in the van...........he LOVED the rawhide we brought for him.  In between chewing on it, he would come up between the two front seats to get some loving, or look out the side windows.  He was (IS) great!  No problems at all getting him into Canada......the customs official looked at our passports and his vacc. cert., and said "Have a nice day."  Grizzly is already much more comfortable with both of us, and soaks up the head rubs and hugs like a sponge.  Thanks again so much for allowing us to bring this beautiful boy into our lives........I think we need him as much as he needs us.
 Yours,  Lynda Marshall

Hello,
We had adopted "Freddy" way back in September.  He was the "desperate dog."  Though I don't really know how he could be considered desperate!  When we got "Freddy" we were not too sure how our older dog, Dockers, would take to him.  After all, Dockers ran our house for over 10 years.  After some initial "talking" between the two, they settled down just find and are best friends to this day.  We felt that "Freddy" wasn't a fitting name, so we were able to change it to Sammy.  Sammy is an awesome dog, though he does manage to chew up things that he'll find laying around - everyone has learned to pick up a little bit better after themselves!  He's become such an integral part of the family that we couldn't really imagine ourselves without him, let alone two of them!
Thank you once again!

We wanted to let you know how great Emily is doing.  She
fit right in with the family.  Her and Miley never had an
akward moment, it was like they were long lost freinds!
Thank you
