Usually we like to keep our Facebook page and website full of the Happy Tails of ANNA animals who have found their forever homes and of those looking for their new families but today we really felt compelled to share some of the darker situations we deal with at the shelter. One to let you – our extended family – know another side of the ANNA Shelter – a sad reality of our society and two to ask for your prayers and support for some of the hardship cases we’re dealing with this week. Our intent is not to disturb anyone and I am sorry if some of you find this offensive but it is a reality. Rest assured these animals are being given the best possible veterinary care and ample amounts of love as they heal physically and emotionally AND that those responsible in some cases will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. - Ruth

We are getting a lot of stray animals that obviously have homes!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE call and leave a detailed description/message, email a picture/description or stop down during our open hours as soon as your pet is missing!  We don't want to adopt your pet out to someone else and have you come looking a week later!

Strays are held 2 days minimum/5 days maximum - before being put up for adoption - so time is of the essence!

We've added a new feature!  Post a photo of your lost pet on our Facebook page to help spread the word!  We want your pet to come home to you as much as you do!!!
