Week One: June 24, 2008 Nora came in completely matted...so bad that she couldn't turn her head and she had a hard time walking.  She was found by the Clarion Dog Warden after someone reported seeing her eating out of the garbage in a wooded area.  Since she was so uncomfortable we contaced Petsmart Grooming and explained her story...they were kind enough to get her in the next morning where they went to work...

She had 7" mats!!!

Week Two: July 1, 2008 When Nora got back from her spa day she was pretty much all bones...although she looked horrible...she felt so much better!

Nora is on a special diet of high protein meat for now...she loves her special meals but still can't resist checking out every garbage can she comes near!!!

Nora just loves attention!  She gets along great with other dogs and even likes the cats...  She loves to go out in the yard and play but because her skin is so sensitive at this point we're limited to evening play time.

Week Three: July 12, 2008 Nora loves everyone!  The kids take her out in the yard where she gets to run and play.  She loves to swim in the wading pool and plays tennis!  She's feeling great and should soon be ready for adoption!

October 28, 2008 Nora is settled into her temporary home with our director.  Nora is a beautiful, well adjusted, happy and healthy dog!  She was spayed last month and the vet aged her at about 10 months old!  We're thinking she is a chocolate lab/poodle mix.  She came to us weighing only 16lbs...and now is 60lbs!  She is spoiled and very loved!   Please keep an eye on our "Speical Needs" Adoption Page for other pets like Nora who need some extra TLC!

April 2009 Nora has finally found her forever home with Lois and her husband!  They love her very much and we can tell the feeling is mutual!
