Hi: Here is a photo of Annabelle and Gina, two girlfriends who apparently bonded at the Anna Shelter having a nap on my recliner. Gina is very kissy-huggy with me, but Annabelle doesn't like to be picked up as she is probably afraid of losing her new happy Forever Home - but she won't. I hope she will come to trust me in time and sit on my lap. In the meantime, they are both very happy here with me and love to eat - especially all the treats! They both give me their love, and I love them right back. They often groom each other and wrestle now and then too...Mike Gaydos, Erie, PA. |

Hershey is doing just great in his new household with former ANNA Shelter dog Koda and Sylvester the former barn cat. The three boys get along just fine. Hershey is happy and sometimes a little bully if one of the other boys are getting attention! He has made a great addition to our family. Karen Renick

Here's the picture of KoKo we wanted to share with you. Doesn't she look like the new Queen of the House??? She likes to lay on her blanket outside while John is working around the garage and yard. She Loves being near him, where ever he is and follows him around. When he leaves her inside she goes from door to window trying to see him. She has calmed down quite a bit and doesn't jump at every strange noise anymore (although that killer ceiling fan may still be a little questionable!). She is a very lovable dog and we are so happy to have her! Thank you so much! John & Brenda Hartwick

Our story...We came to Wal-Mart on Buffalo road one dreary, rainy day last September in hopes to find our "special someone" . We were looking for a cat about one year old, sweet and loving. Unfortunately you didn't have any older cats there but invited us to come to the ANNA shelter later that afternoon...so glad we did! We spent about an hour there going in each room and looking at each cat. Then we found her...
She came to us a girl from the streets that went by the name of Prada. She looked tired and nervous and sore having had surgery just two days before. We took her home and let her explore her new surroundings. Within a few days it was like she had always been with us. A sweet loving little girl who now goes by the name of Sadie Darlin'. She spends her days basking in the sun in a country home and chasing anything that moves. She likes to take turns sleeping on each of our beds at night making sure the kids are where they belong. We absolutely LOVE her. What a perfect fit for our family. We tell everyone we know where we found her and encourage them to visit there too. Thank you!

Just a note to sat that my husband and I adore "Cecil" (aka Caesar), the Californian rabbit we adopted just over a year ago. While he's not allowed to play with the female bunny in the next condo, he bonded with Tuesday instantly and wouldn't let her out of his sight for the first couple of months. Since both condos have privacy rooms, which Tuesday uses regularly, Cecil effectively created his own exercise program by hopping several miles back and forth in his own condo until she would come back out again. In mirroring her every move, he's learned to hop on top of his bedroom, shred newspapers with a vengeance and try cool new foods he previously ignored. Cecil's shown himself to be a live-and-let-live kind of guy, as is obvious by his social interaction with our 19 year old Beagle, Maggie. (Cecil's eyes are naturally red, which makes him even more cool.) Thank you so much for keeping him safe until we came along. Suzanne and Patrick Reigel |
