Latest Happy Tails

We just wanted to update you on the adoption of our Australian Cattle Dog, Noah (you probably know him as 'Caesar').  We adopted Noah in September of 2006.  When he first came into our possession, we had some issues with his tail, which I can only describe as "half" amputated.  He use to constantly chase and bite his tail to the point where it became severely infected.  About a year ago we decided to amputate the rest of it so he would no longer be able to bite and infect it.  Since the operation Noah is doing great.  He no longer chases his tail at every opportunity and he loves his new home.  We recently fenced in the back yard of our house so he can run freely and explore as he wishes.  He now knows what it is like to be a "spoiled" pet because he gets his way all the time.  He sleeps in our beds with us and takes over the couch whenever he wants it.  Noah is very protective of his new family and never lets anyone he doesn't know enter the house.  We are so happy to have Noah in our lives.  Sometimes he even unmakes the bed by himself so he can snuggle up underneath the comforter.  He is very happy with us and we would not trade him in for anything.  Thanks!  Kim Lynn

Dear A.N.N.A Shelter Staff,  Earlier this year my grandpa had to have his dog put to sleep, he was devastated. We searched the past few months for a dog exactly like the one he recently lost and out of the blue we came across Toby on your website. On Saturday July 12th, we brought grandpa to the shelter to see Toby. It was love at first sight. Toby was exactly the same as the dog he had just lost. It only took a moment for us to realize that Toby had found his new home.  A few days later, grandma and grandpa are both happier and Toby is happier then anyone could imagine. He runs through the big yard, chases birds, and is constantly following around grandma or grandpa. They are all adjusting but Toby has filled a void that was created at the loss of Lickie. I wanted to thank the A.N.N.A. Shelter for all their help in making grandma and grandpa happy again = Laura, Ray, Sue and Ethel

I just want to say thank you for our new addition ROSCO, previously known as Phelps. He is such a sweet heart!  he is so happy to be at his "forever home".  He is definitly adapting very well, very fast.  Rosco made himself right at home!! He even dances on his two back legs when he wants to go outside.   We have only had him for 5 days and he is already a huge part of our lives! We will keep you updated on him. Thanks again! We love him to death. I am sure he misses you but we keep him well occupied!  He sends his love! Jenn Millimaci

We just wanted to send a picture of our baby pit bull mix Bindy (originally known as Gwen) with her sisters Kaelee and Bella Roo.   We picked Bindy up on June 28th and she was the perfect addition to our family.  As you can see her sisters love her as much as we do.  We appreciate everything you do for the animals and Bindy does too!  She is the best shelter pup any one could ask for, Thank You so much for allowing us to bring Bindy home. –Kerry and Eric Franz

Did you ever get the pictures and note from Dallas? He was adopted from your shelter on Nov 1st. He is doing great. He lives in Virginia and is a really smart and funny dog. He is going to classes at Petsmart and in week two he wanted to play in class. All the dogs got a extra 10 minuets of play time while he got it out of his system. Week three he showed everyone how to bite his tail and scratch his ear at the same time. He makes us laugh every day.

Dear Staff,
Yesterday I adopted Lester who is now affectionately known as Max. Max was part of our Christmas celebration at my parents house where he got to meet my 3 nieces and nephew which I may add adored him. I don't think a puppy could have been happier. To watch him checking out all the people and children. He eyes were lit up like a child in a toy store. At one point in the night half of the family was downstairs watching tv and the other half were upstairs playing wii. Little Max was going up and down the stairs from one group to the next like this is my home and this is who I have to protect. He played and enjoyed sleeping with my dad and the kids. He made new friends with our Saint Bernard and my sisters pitt bull terrier. When he was taken outside he didn't want to leave the door it took all the bribing to get him to walk around to go the bathroom.I think he was afraid that he was going to be left outside. But everytime he would run back in the house with soo much enthusiam knowing there was a spot on the couch or someones lap waiting for him. SO thank you for allowing us the opportunity to give him a home. I only wish I was able to give more of them a home like Max has now. Tell Jack and Jill I am sorry that I didn't pick them but I pray that someone comes in and falls in love with them and gives him the best home possible.

And Max too!

Hi, we were in last week and adopted 2 black kittens.  One's name was Roberta and the other one didn't have a name that I know of.  Anyway, they are doing fine.  They play together and sleep together.  My daughter renamed them Maddie for the 4 month old and Roberta's new name is London.  Can you guess which Disney show they are named after? (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody).  We are taking them to the vet this Friday. Maddie is very playful and London is very lovable.  I've attached a few pictures of them for your website.  Thanks for 2 awesome kittens.  Jenifer Wolfgang
